    Clague Middle School has recently been designated as a "School to Watch"

    by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform!

     

    To achieve Schools to Watch designation, a middle school must demonstrate that it has met the following criteria:

    1. It is academically excellent and challenges all students.

    2. It is developmentally responsive and sensitive to the unique developmental challenges of early adolescents.

    3. The school is socially equitable, democratic and fair, providing all students with high-quality teachers, resources and supports.

    4. The school has norms, structures and organizational arrangements to support and sustain its path toward excellence.

    Clague Middle School will receive recognition at a special school ceremony and at the National Forum Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, D.C. in June.

The climate of caring is obvious from the moment the students enter the building. Students are set-up for success with supports, prompts and encouragement. Classrooms had clear learning objectives.     Students, if you or someone you know is being bullied or harassed you can send a confidential email to claguehelp@gmail.com.  All reports will be kept confidential, be investigated and taken seriously.

    _________________________________________________________________________________Friday, May 26th is the deadline to hand in the permission slips and donations for all grade level End of the Year activities.   If you haven't seen the permission slip yet please ask your student !!!
     
    May 26th is also the last day to check out books from the Media Center.

    ATTENTION ALL 7TH GRADE STUDENTS

    We are excited that Jazz Band auditions for next year's Clague Jazz Band have arrived!!  Jazz Band will meet regularly during 8th grade advisory.

    Please see Mr. MacArthur or Ms. Katz in the band room, room 139, to get the audition music and to sign up for an audition time.  All instrumentalists are welcome to audition and we  look forward to hearing your awesome playing.

    If you have any questions regarding auditions, please come talk to Mr. MacArthur or Ms. Katz and we'll answer all of your questions.

    2017 JAZZ SUMMIT CONCERT

    The concert will take place Thursday, May 25th at 7:30 pm at Huron High School.  The concert will feature the Clague 8th grade Jazz Band and the Huron Jazz Band.  All are welcome to attend !!

    LATE BUSES ARE ON MONDAY, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY

      

     

    SEASON V

    April 24 - June 8

    Girls and Boys Track - 6th, 7th & 8th grade

    Softball - 7th & 8th grade

    Baseball - 7th & 8th grade

    Tennis - 6th grade

     

     

    Baseball practices M-F from 3:15 to 4:45

    Softball practices M-F from 3:15 to 5:00

    6th grade Tennis practices 3:15 to 4:15

    7th/8th grade Track practices M-F 3:15 to 4:45

    6th grade Track practices T & Th 3:15 to 4:45

    Ultimate Frisbee practices Wed. from 3:00 to 4:30

     

      All players  must have a physical on file, have completed the pay to participate and Clague registrations and made payment to participate in sports.  All of the above allows you to participate all year.

    ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN ATHLETICS WILL NEED A PHYSICAL DATED AFTER APRIL 15, 2016 IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.  PAY TO PARTICATE FORMS, CLAGUE ATHLETICS REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS MUST ALSO BE COMPLETED ONLINE.  PAY TO PARTICIPATE LINKS ARE ON THE CLAGUE WEBSITE UNDER 'ATHLETICS'

    Forms are good for all 5 sport seasons

    There is an after school bus on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 4:40 pm for students in clubs and sports. The bus picks up by the Tennis Courts.
