Instructional Interventions for Struggling Students

Ann Arbor Public Schools has five middle schools serving sixth through eight graders. Following the Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations, Ann Arbor middle schools serve as an important connection between elementary and high school. Students in middle school can expect the academic and developmental support critical to this age group. Assisting students to take responsibility for their learning while helping them set high academic goals, Ann Arbor middle schools offer students the learning environment to build a base for a successful high school career. The middle school curriculum offers a rich selection of core courses and electives. Students are given the opportunity to explore where their interest may lead in order to build a better understanding of their academic goals.
