OCTOBER

NOVEMBER      
  Tuesday 6 No School for students - Election Day
Elementary PD in A.M., Report writing in P.M.
Middle School/High School PD all day.
  Friday 9 End of 1st  marking period Middle & High Schools
  Monday 19 Elementary Report cards due to principal
  Wed/Thu/Fri 21-23 No School for students.  Thanksgiving break.
  Tuesday 27 Elementary report cards go home
DECEMBER      
  Wednesday 5 Early release day for Huron, Pioneer, A2 Tech and middle school students.
  Friday 21 Winter vacation begins at the end of the day.
JANUARY      
  Monday 7 School resumes.
  Monday 21 Martin Luther King Jr. Day. No School for Students & Staff.
  Friday 25 End of First Semester for Middle & High Schools.
  Monday 28 No school for students at Middle & High Schools. Teachers work day.*
  Tuesday 29 No school for All Students - K-12 Professional Development Day
  Wednesday 30 First Day of Second Semester for Middle & High Schools.
FEBRUARY      
  Wednesday 13 Count Day
  Friday 15 Mid Winter vacation begins at the end of the day.
  Monday 25 School resumes
MARCH      
  Monday 11 No school for Elementary students. Teacher work day.
  Wednesday 13 Elementary reports cards due to principal.
  Monday 18 Elementary report cards go home.
  Wednesday 20 Early release day for Huron, Pioneer, A2 Tech and middle school students.
  Thursday 28 Spring Vacation begins at the end of the day
APRIL      
  Monday 8 School resumes.
  Friday 19 End of 3rd marking period Middle & High Schools
  Wednesday 24 Early release day for Huron, Pioneer, and A2 Tech students.
MAY      
  Wednesday 8 Early release for Huron and Pioneer.
No school for Middle school students. Teacher professional development.
  Monday 27 Memorial Day. School is closed.
JUNE      
  Wednesday 12 Elementary reports cards due to principal.
  Friday 14 End of second semester. Half day for students. Afternoon is records day.
Elementary Report Cards go home
Teachers may leave upon completion of their assignments. School offices are open until 5:00 P.M. to facilitate checkout. Teachers who need additional time are to work out the checkout details with their principals.
  Monday 17 Each Emergency Closing day of the 2012-2013 school year which reduces the District’s attendance days below that required by the state will be made up beginning with this day and each consecutive week day thereafter.
Note: Districts are allocated 30 hours for emergency days.

*The full days designated for records/ report writing will remain as teacher days with the understanding that teachers are free to leave upon fulfilling their responsibilities. The teacher professional day (Monday, August 27, 2012) may be satisfied in one hour increments reported to the teacher’s immediate supervisor.
