SPEAKER SERIES: "Staying Connected with Our Tweens"
Please join us for a lively and informative discussion about how to help our children (and we parents, too!) navigate the middle school years. Our guest speaker, Dr. Carole Symer, has over 20 years of clinical practice experience as a therapist, neuropsychologist, and parent. Bring your questions, and join her in conversation about how to hold open spaces for our kids to stay connected to us as they find their way through these exciting, awkward, and emotionally demanding years of early adolescence.

WELCOME Forsythe Community
The Forsythe PTSO would like to welcome everyone to the 2016-2017 school year. We extend an especially warm welcome to incoming 6th grade families and new families joining our school community!
Our Mission Statement
The Forsythe PTSO will provide the volunteers and funds to enrich the education of all students and offer equality of opportunity through building community with parents and teachers; effective communication; and providing opportunities for families to be involved in the school community.
Did you know that everyone with a student at Forsythe is automatically a member of the Forsythe PTSO? The PTSO is an essential part of all extra-curricular activities and events, providing financial support that makes many clubs, events and student activities possible. We need your help to keep these programs running.
The PTSO is able to do so many wonderful things for our kids, teachers and staff because of your financial support. THANK YOU! Click here to see what the PTSO funded last year, or here to learn how the Forsythe Grant program has benefited Forsythe students.
Use the button below to donate online to the Forsythe PTSO or contribute to need-based scholarships. The suggested amount is $30 per student, but please choose an amount comfortable for you.
We also organize volunteers to help or run these programs. Even in middle school, parental participation is essential for a successful school year. Please strongly consider donating your skill set and volunteer with the PTSO. Most volunteer opportunities require an average of only 1 - 2 hours per month. Volunteering is a great way to meet people and get involved while improving your child’s middle school experience.
Thank you in advance for joining us!
We look forward to another great school year! If you have questions or comments, please contact us at ForsythePTSO@gmail.com.
