FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL MCELMEEL
Congratulations
Skyline High School junior Neha Seshadri is one of three students in the country to receive a full ride Coolidge Scholarship in 2017. The scholarship, supported by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, is among the most generous scholarships in America - covering tuition, fees, room and board for four years of undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Seshadri was also selected to receive an alumnae scholarship from the Joyce Ivy Foundation as well as placing 4th in the International Science Fair in LA this past week. Congratulations Neha!
Dress Code
If you have any suggestions on how our dress code can be better be implemented or on how the rules themselves can be better adjusted to our community, come to our World Cafe on Thursday May 25th right after school in the icommons. Come make the change.

Songs For a New World
Skyline Theatre presents Songs For A New World. It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World. A moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make. Songs for a New World runs this Thursday and Friday in the Experimental Theatre at 7:30 PM.
Community Resource (CR) course
A Community Resource (CR) course is a type of independent study and scheduled instructor meeting time that students set up with a volunteer instructor. An AAPS teacher oversees the CR experience and grants credit and grade towards graduation requirements. All CRs are semester long classes but Skyline students can take them too. To apply for a CR for 1st semester of next year, submit an application either now through June 7 or from August 15 through Sept 8. To learn how to create a CR course or for details on how to apply, go to the CR website at http://bit.ly/aaps-cr
