Mr. Stewart earned his Bachelor of Arts. from Hope College and a Masters of Science. from Eastern Michigan University. 

“I obviously like being physically active. I enjoy participating in all sports but right now I mostly enjoy kayaking, fishing, golfing, camping, hiking, and beach volleyball.”

Mr. Stewart's Educational Philosophy:

“As far as it pertains to Physical Education, I believe it is important for all students to be active. My goal is to teach students all of the fundamental skills necessary to be a physically active person. It is my hope that my students can use these skills to find the right physical activity that makes them happy. This could be jogging, biking, camping, recreational sports or competitive sports. Whatever their desires are. They will be armed with knowledge on how to move correctly and not have the excuse, ‘I don't know how to do that.’ I try to present the material in an enjoyable and non-intimidating way. It is my hope that students won't be afraid to take risks in my classes. I absolutely love the subject of Physical Education and teaching Lawton Students.
