I was born and raised here in Ann Arbor and I'm a proud product of this great school system.  I attended Bader Elementary, Tappan Intermediate, and Huron High Schools, graduating in 1981.  I have two brothers and three sisters who also attended AAPS schools and are now scattered across the country in a variety of successful careers.

I attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette for two years before deciding on a career in education, at which point I transferred to Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant.

I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in the Ann Arbor Public School system in 1987 and was hired full-time as a fifth grade teacher at Mitchell in the fall of 1989.  I quickly realized that Mitchell is where I belong.  It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to serve this community for almost three decades.  During my career at Mitchell it has been exciting to be able to teach many children whose parents were also my students!
