  • Volunteer Smile Today, more than ever before, the services of the community are needed to strengthen our educational programs.  The diversity of students and the diversity of programs offered to meet their needs, demand resources that cannot be offered by the schools alone.  Volunteers are needed kindergarten through high school.

    Volunteering with the Family Learning Institute

    The Family Learning Institute will be providing on-site tutoring at Lakewood Elementary, Lawton Elementary and Pittsfield Elementary.  This would be an after-school program for two days a week.

    Tutoring High School Students: Hourly Paid Position

    Noon Hour Supervisors: Burns Park Elementary

    Burns Park Elementary is currently looking for noon hour supervisors.  The shift is typically from around 11:00am-2:00pm and is paid $13 per hour. This involves monitoring students eating in the lunch room and at outdoor or indoor recess.  Supervisors help support a harmonious lunch room experience, move groups of students from one location to the next, assist with lunch room clean up and are responsible for the safety and well-being of the children during the lunch period.  Interested candidates should contact Laura Wolf, assistant principal at Burns Park Elementary. 734-474-2318 or wolf@aaps.k12.mi.us

    If you are interested in other types of opportunities, please make sure to fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. In August/Sept we will be sending out information to all schools (or the schools you specified) about your volunteer interest. At that time, you may be selected to volunteer at a school and either partners@a2schools.org or a school will reach out to you directly.
