I grew up in Metro-Detroit and went to Western Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

I have taught kindergarten for many years and teach with a growth-mindset. I am always striving to create an equitable and inclusive space for all of my students. I believe in teaching the whole child and that social and emotional learning helps create more empathetic learners and members of society. The joy that comes from watching students learn so much in their kindergarten year is what keeps me passionate about my career.

My partner and I live in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area with our five children. We enjoy exploring local restaurants, parks, and events that support our community.
