Degrees and Certifications:
I was born in New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Ann Arbor this summer. I am so excited to be teaching Spanish at Mitchell and Allen Schools. I am a Spanish language learner myself and learned Spanish while living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and traveling to Spain, México, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador and Guatemala.
I graduated from Geneva College with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. I obtained my Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in TESOL, Bilingual, and Multicultural education. I have been teaching Spanish and bilingual education for 15 years in schools in Honduras, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
When I’m not at school I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling. My husband and I also enjoy exploring the world around us by hiking, biking, and kayaking.
