Hello Lawton Families! My name is Megan Sellers. I am a first grade teacher at Lawton elementary. This will be my fourth year at Lawton! It is amazing that this will be my 18th year as a teacher! In the past, I have taught Kindergarten through third grade in Michigan and Virginia. I went to Aquinas college in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also, I have my masters in curriculum instruction from Concordia University! I believe we will have another wonderful year learning and growing at Lawton.

My favorite book is Knuffle Bunny Too because I met the author! Mo Willems is a fun author and illustrator. Trixie is based on Mo Willems' daughter. He shows kids anyone can be an author and illustrator. Mo Willems has also written the series of Elephant and PIggie, and The Pigeon series. I love that students gain their reading confidence reading Mo Willems' books.
