Catherine (Cat) Hogans is a licensed masters level social worker and certified school social worker. This is her eighth year at Mitchell and over fifteen years as a school social worker. She lives with her husband and two sons in Ypsilanti. Before working for the Ann Arbor Public Schools, Cat worked for the Detroit Institute for Children, Detroit Hartford Head Start, Winans Academy for Performing Arts and American Montessori Academy. She is passionate about and always in pursuit of additional knowledge in the areas of social and emotional wellbeing, restorative justice and child directed therapeutic intervention. Cat is really excited to be able to support the enhancement of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at Mitchell this school year, not only for students with targeted special education goals, but for the entire school community.
