Some preschoolers receive special education services on a community basis through the Westerman Preschool & Family Center. Some children come to the Westerman Preschool and work directly with a Speech and Language Therapist (SLP), an Occupational Therapist (OT), or a Physical Therapist (PT). To access these services, the child must have an IEP. Some children are serviced by an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) service provider within their community preschool. This special education teacher works with the child in their community preschool. Again, to access this service, a child must be eligible for special education and have an IEP.
