Hello and welcome to First Grade!

My name is Brookelynn McPeake, and I am so excited to begin my first year at Carpenter! I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my bachelor's in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood focus. I am also enrolled at Eastern in a Reading Master’s program. My first day of grad school is also our first day of school (eek!). I student-taught and substitute-taught in Ann Arbor PS, so I am familiar with the district.  I am pumped to teach first grade here at Carpenter and cannot wait to see where the year takes us!

When I am not teaching or doing classwork, I can be found at home hanging out with my husband and two Boston Terriers, Harvey and Gordon. My husband and I are HUGE Detroit Lions fans and have very high hopes for the football season. I also enjoy watching Michigan Football too. I love reading and try to do so as much as possible. 

I look forward to a great year and cannot wait to get started.
