Mrs. Schroeder

Hello Lawton families! My name is Cheryl Schroeder. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from The University of Michigan (1995) and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Eastern Michigan University (2003). I have worked in Ann Arbor Public Schools for the past twenty-nine years. My first years in Ann Arbor were spent as a computer lab teacher and technical assistant, before starting my work in the classroom. I taught for sixteen years at King Elementary School and this is my tenth year teaching at Lawton Elementary! During my time at King and Lawton, I have taught both first and second grade. I am excited to be teaching first grade again this year. This age is such an amazing time of learning and growth for my students and I love to be a part of it!

My favorite book is Charlotte's Web because I love animals and this book has a great message about caring and friendship!

My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was art because I love to be creative. Art is still something I enjoy in my free time!
