Ms. Melissa Saeed

Mrs. Saeed taught French (MYP) and German at Flint Southwestern Academy for 13 years.  After leaving Flint Schools, she ventured on to Fenton High School, where she  taught all levels of MYP and DP French.

Prior to her teaching career, Mrs. Saeed earned her undergraduate degree in French and German from the University of Michigan-Flint.  During her Junior year, she studied at French at l'Université Catholique de Lille (Clarife).  The following summer, she back packed throughout Europe visiting countries from Ireland  to  Hungary.  After beginning her teaching career, she furthered her studies and earned a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
Her love of travel and learning new cultures is a big part of why she became a French teacher. She has led many student excursions from the sugarshacks and Chateau Frontenac of Québec to the Eiffel Tower and Pyrenees Mountains in France.  She looks forward to when her own children are old enough to go on trips abroad with her.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and two children, Aiya and Zayn, playing and going on adventures.  She also loves spending time with her friends.
