Jonathan Cook began his teaching career at Huron High School as a Student Teacher in 2010. He taught Business, Accounting, and Web Design courses for 6 years at HH Dow and Midland High Schools, in addition to his role as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator for Midland Public Schools. Mr. Cook has experience teaching IB Business and Management as part of a Diploma Programme, and attended IB Business and Management training at the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West.

Mr. Cook is an Advisor for the Huron Business Professionals of America (BPA) Club. He has been a Business Professionals of America Advisor since 2010, chaperoning students to State and National Leadership Conferences in Grand Rapids, Boston, Washington D.C., Anaheim, Orlando, Dallas, and Indianapolis.

In March 2019, Mr. Cook was presented the Barbara Chambers Advisor of the Year Award by Michigan BPA.

Prior to teaching, Mr. Cook earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University and worked at The Bank of New York Mellon as a Financial Securities Operations Specialist. He also served 6 years as a soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard as a Network Switching Systems Operator with the 156 Signal Battalion and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate of the Army Signal Corps School.
