Physical Education/Health Department Chair

From an early age Mrs. Smigell developed a passion for health and wellness. This interest in physical fitness lead Mrs. Smigell to attend Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology with a Specialization in Health Promotion. Upon graduation Mrs. Smigell worked for a wellness company at Chrysler promoting healthy lifestyles for the employees. During this experience, Mrs. Smigell decided her true teaching passion was with children, so she pursued her Masters of Art in Teaching Physical Education and Health from Wayne State University. Mrs. Smigell has been teaching Physical Education and Health classes since 2005. Her love of movement and promoting lifetime fitness is contagious.
