Ms. VanRiper grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, where she was actively involved in her community. She attended Bowling Green State University in 2013 with a degree as an Intervention Specialist. She then moved to Ann Arbor, where she worked at Clague Middle School. There, she worked in various Special Education roles until 2016, when she accepted a job at Huron as a Resource Teacher/Teacher Consultant.

In her free time, Ms. VanRiper enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, volunteering at Young People's Theater in Ann Arbor, and making frequent trips to Target. ;) She feels extremely proud to be a River Rat and feels fortunate to work with such talented, kind, and supporting staff members.
