We are excited to offer a comprehensive tennis program for youth players at any age, giving them a solid skill set to play this great sport for life. WE OFFER YOUTH TENNIS YEAR-ROUND -- on our Ann Arbor Public School courts, and at the beautiful University of Michigan Varsity Tennis Center.
Get your kids active and learning tennis FUNdamentals early with scaled down court size and age appropriate equipment. We follow the Rec & Ed Youth Tennis Code of Conduct. Our program is part of the USTA Midwest's Youth Tennis Pathway.

FAST TRACK TENNIS Ages 12-15 New/Inexperienced Players
It's never too late to start playing tennis! Using a variety of tennis court equipment and techniques, our instructors "fast track" learning essential tennis skills, in a fun, yet relaxed environment. The goal is to progress to full court play with teh green ball by the end of session. Most player repeat FTT before moving to Junior Team Tennis (per instructor recommendation)JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS Ages 9-17We offer year co-ed Team Tennis year round. Appropriate instructional prerequisites (stroke skills) are necessary to play on each team. Players move to the next team level by instructor’s permission. Players are encouraged to develop their skills and sportsmanship while having fun in a team setting.Purple Team (Ages 9-13, Adv Beg/Intermediate) Yellow Ball, 78' court, Prerequisite: Green Team or equivalent. Players can serve and rally full court fairly consistently. Purple Team players drill, incorporate net play, match etiquette, learn basic strategy for singles and doubles match play. Instructor’s permission required. Purple Team players are eligible to play on 14 & Under Junior (USTA) Team Tennis travel team (indoor, late fall and winter).
Silver Team (Ages 11-14, Intermediate) Prerequisite: Purple Team or equivalent. Players can serve and rally full court with some consistently, feel comfortable approaching and playing out points at net. Silver Team players drill, incorporate net play, match etiquette, learn basic strategy for singles and doubles match play. Silver Team players who are age eligible can play on Rec&Ed 14 & Under Intermediate USTA travel Junior Team Tennis team (indoor, late fall and winter). Instructor’s permission required.
Gold Team (Ages 14-17, Intermediate/Advanced) Prerequisite: Varsity or upper JV tennis experience or equivalent. Gold Team practice includes drilling and point play. Gold players are eligible to play on Rec&Ed's 18 & Under Intermediatetravel team USTA travel Junior Team Tennis team (indoor, late fall and winter). Instructor’s permission required.
