Hello! My name is Heather Beck, and I am thrilled to join the team here at Wines. I am returning to AAPS after some time away from Ann Arbor and therefore am beginning my 6th year teaching special education for the district. I started my career teaching at the middle school level in 2001 for another Michigan district before our family moved to Ann Arbor in 2007, where I made the switch to elementary (Angell and Abbot). In 2012 we left the state for my husband’s career and more recently lived in Brazil for three years before returning to this area last year. I have a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and completed my masters through Saginaw Valley State University. My husband and I also keep our schedules full, raising our three children, ages 6, 14, and 16.  Our family enjoys spending our leisure time at cross country meets, mountain bike races, and robotics events.
