Daniel Bai has a passion for science, particularly biology. He was born and raised in Davis, California. He also received his bachelor's degree in Biology with an emphasis in neurobiology, physiology and behavior at the University of California, Davis. After he received his undergraduate degree, he volunteered in a lab, he worked as an EMT, and he was a para-educator. Throughout this time, he was actively involved in the lives of the youth through volunteer programs. During this time, he developed a desire to teach high school students. He received his teaching credential in science and Masters in Education at the UC Davis. Mr. Bai moved to Ann Arbor in 2016. Mr. Bai has taught international baccalaureate biology, earth science and physics. He has also coached basketball and is currently affiliated with the Huron Science Olympiad.

Mr. Bai's hobbies include playing team sports such as basketball and soccer. He also enjoys learning new things. Recently, he has been fishing, kayaking, gardening and vermicomposting.
