    We will

-continue our research project.  Students will chose a Space themed topic this week.  They will begin research on Tuesday, Janaury 30th and will need at least one resource that is a book on that day.  They will have opportunities to look for books at the King library (during their weekly library time) and I have a small selection in our classroom library.  Depending on their topic, they may need to go to the public library to find resources.  Please let me know if your child does not have access to the public library so that I can help them search the public library and check out a book for them.  Students will have access to laptops in the classroom on the research days, but are welcome to look for online resources at home, with your permission.

-Continue our Word Study topic, "Do We Need to Sacrifice Our Freedom to Protect Our Communities?" and begin the topic, "The Power of Power:  What Do People Do to Get It?"

-continue an informational genre study unit.

-continue Math Unit 4.  The assessment will be on Monday (1-22) and the cumulative assessment will be on Tuesday.  We will also begin Unit 5.  Studens will use equivalent fractions to find common denominators.

-continue our first Project Lead the Way unit.
