    -continue Math Unit 8.  Students will apply some of the concepts we have learned this school year to real-world problems.  The review will be on Thursday (5-31) and the assessment will be on Friday (6-1).

    -continue a short poetry unit.  Students will create a title for their poem and revise their poem.

    -continue our Word Study topic, "What kind of protections justify restricting our freedoms?"

    -continue a traditional literature genre study.

    -Begin Math Unit 8.  Students will apply some of the concepts we have learned this school year to real-world problems.

    -continue a short poetry unit.  Students will revise their poems using line breaks, stanzas, repetition, and figurative language.

    -continue our Word Study topic, "Do we need laws to regulate behavior?" and begin the next topic, "What kind of protections justify restricting our freedoms?"

    -begin a traditional literature genre study.

    -continue Math Unit 7.  The review will be on Tuesday and the assessments will be on Thursday and Friday.

    -continue our Social Studies unit, "A New Nation."

    We will

    -begin a short poetry unit.  Students will begin brainstorming ideas for poems and plan and draft a poem of their own.

    -continue our Word Study topic, "Do we need laws to regulate behavior?"

    -continue a poetry genre study.

    -continue Math Unit 7.  Students will categorize polygons, collect and use fractional data, identify and visualize patterns, and work with rules, tables and graphs.

    -continue our Social Studies unit, "The American Revolution" and begin the next unit, "A New Nation."

    -continue our research project.  Students will continue publishing in Google Slides and will share their final products.

    -continue our Word Study topic, "How can the words and ideas of one person impact a community?" and begin our next topic, "Do we need laws to regulate behavior?"

    -continue a poetry genre study.

    -begin Math Unit 7.  Students will multiply mixed numbers and solve problems with rectangles with fractional side lengths. 

    -continue our Social Studies unit, "Road to Revolution" and begin our next unit, "The American Revolution."

    -continue our Word Study topic, "How can the words and ideas of one person impact a community?"

    -continue a biography genre study.  Students wrote a reading response letter to someone at home.  Please be sure to read it over our break and respond if possible!  We will also begin a poetry genre study.

    -continue Math Unit 6.  Students will estimate their reaction times.  The review will be on Tuesday (4-3) and the assessments will be on Wednesday (4-4) and Thursday (4-5).

    -begin our Social Studies unit, "Road to Revolution."

    -begin our Word Study topic, "How can the words and ideas of one person impact a community?"

    -continue a biography genre study.  Students will write a reading response letter to someone at home.  Please be sure to read it over our break and respond if possible!

    -continue Math Unit 6.  Students will measure volume by displacement and divide decimals by whole numbers and by decimals.

    -continue our Social Studies unit, "Life in Colonial America".

    -continue a biography genre study.

    -continue Math Unit 6.  Students will work with line plots, apply volume concepts, measure volume by displacement, and estimate decimal products and quotients.

    -begin our next Social Studies unit, "Life in Colonial America".

    -continue our research project.  Students will revise and edit their drafts.

    -continue our Word Study topic, "Why do communities have different ideas about what brings happiness?"

    -continue a historical fiction genre study and begin a biography genre study.

    -continue Math Unit 5.  Students will continue their assessments on Monday (3-5).  We will begin Math Unit 6.  Students will multiply and divide decimals by powers of 10, work with exponents, convert measurement in the metric system, and work with line plots.

    -finish our second Project Lead the Way unit.
