I grew up in Utica, Michigan and went to Eastern Michigan University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I then added my Special Education degree in Emotional Impairment and finally earned a Master’s degree in Reading Specialist and Intervention through Concordia University Portland.

I have been a part of the Mitchell community since 2008. I have always been inspired by the dedication and commitment to students that our staff and families bring each year. I strive to empower our students to take risks and try new things. I want to guide reflective and compassionate learners to find their own inspiration and individual strengths.

My husband and I live in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area with our four children. We enjoy a lot of baseball and a lot of family time with our extended loved ones.
