This is my second year at STEAM, and I am beyond excited.  For the nine years before STEAM, I have been a teacher with Plymouth-Canton Community schools, working in grades kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with most of my time spent in 2nd grade.  

 

I enjoy making teaching and learning as relevant, exciting, and hands on as possible.  Having the opportunity to work at STEAM will allow me to do so in such an engaging environment.  I firmly believe that the classroom should be a small learning community where students feel cared for and respected.  

 

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband Chris and my little boy, Rowan.  We currently live in South Lyon and love playing outside with our dog, Bruno.  I also enjoy reading, cooking, and playing volleyball and basketball.
