Mr. Christopher Roberts
Mr. Roberts has served the Tappan Middle School Community since December 2015. Prior to his time at Tappan he was the Principal of Lincoln Middle School in Ypsilanti, MI. He has 20 years of experience all at the middle school level. He was an 8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher for seven years. After his time in the classroom Mr. Roberts transitioned to an Assistant Principal and middle school Athletic Director prior to his last role as Principal before coming to Tappan Middle School.
His experience in these various roles has given him insight into the development of the middle school student. His goal is to continue the exemplary educational experience of all Tappan Middle School students. Mr. Roberts is excited to continue serving our community and supporting staff and students to create the best educational environment.
Mr. Roberts is currently a graduate student at Eastern Michigan University where he is pursuing an Education Specialist Degree in Administration / Leadership. He earned his Master’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Siena Heights University in Language Arts and History.
Mr. Roberts has an established record as an administrator in both the Lincoln Consolidated Schools and Ann Arbor Public Schools.
He states; “it is a pleasure and honor to be a part of the outstanding Tappan Middle School learning community. My intent is to continue that tradition and help Tappan Middle School strive to become a premiere school in the state”.
