My name is Marlana Evans, your school librarian!

I am from Michigan (Flint) and my husband is from Petoskey, but we lived in North Carolina for 11 years! That is longer than some of you have been alive!

I was a classroom teacher (3rd grade) before finding my way to a library- where I have been ever since!

I completed my Masters in Library Science from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!) in July 2018.

We moved back to Michigan in August of 2019 and settled in Ann Arbor where my husband now works with a health and wellness company. He has a PhD in Sport & Exercise Psychology.

We have a son, Jack, and a yellow lab named Seamus (pronounced Shamus).
