Ms. Miranda Messer
Hello, I am Miranda Messer.
I retired in 2012 after working 27 years as a government employee for the State of Michigan. I knew before retiring that I wanted to start a second career in childhood education.
After taking a year off for myself, I began working at Clague Middle School in Ann Arbor as a Teaching Assistant in their self-contained classroom. I gained tremendous experience working with children, on the autism spectrum, cognitive and emotional disabilities, physical/medical disabilities, and behavioral challenges. My heart however kept steering me toward my desire to work with preschool age children. So, after 4 years, I began working at Westerman Preschool and Family Center, where I plan to stay for many years to come.
I am currently attending Washtenaw Community College to gain more knowledge in early childhood education.
I am also a mother of 4 beautiful children, two daughters and a son, who are all married and living their lives, and one daughter who is a sophomore in high school. I am also the grandmother of 2 with a 3rd on the way. I am an avid sports fan, especially Michigan football and basketball. I also love watching my daughter play travel and varsity softball, my grandson play soccer and basketball, and my granddaughter play soccer and volleyball. They keep me very busy, but I love every minute.
I am very excited to have a partnership with all the families, so together, we can continue to watch your children develop and grow!
