Welcome to King! My name is Julie Arbour, and yes, my middle name is "Ann." I teach Physical Education at this wonderful school. This is my 40th year of teaching P.E. in Ann Arbor, and my 38th year at King. I have both a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in teaching Physical Education from Eastern Michigan University. While at EMU, I played 2 years of basketball and 4 years of volleyball.
I love teaching at King! I am very fortunate to be able to work with all the King Children, and see them develop from year to year. I am the luckiest teacher as I have over "500" children. I tell the kids that they all will be treated like my own children. I want all my students to have fun in class, use life skills and to always do their personal best. The students learn to treat everyone with respect, and to have empathy for one another. In class, the students can hear me say, "Hard is Good," and "Be kind to one another."
Outside of school, I have an adult son and daughter, Adam and Kristy and a new son-in-law Ryan. My husband Ed and I have been married for almost 40 years. Our family enjoys being outside and watching most sporting events. When our family is together, laughter fills the air.
"Be Kind to One Another!"
