Degrees and Certifications:

Kim Olsen

Hello! I’m King’s Teacher Consultant/Resource Room teacher. I grew up in Ann Arbor, graduating from Community High School. I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Specialist degree from Eastern Michigan University. I am both a certified reading specialist as well as a special education teacher.

I have been teaching for 25 years, the majority of which I’ve spent with the Ann Arbor Public Schools. Prior to joining AAPS, I taught for 8-years in Dearborn. As an educator, I work to meet the needs of each child in a comprehensive and compassionate manner. The best and most rewarding part of my job is working with kids. I love them all!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, road trips, making jewelry/metalsmithing and spending time with my family and our many pets.
