Welcome King Students and Families!

It has been a joy working alongside the wonderful staff at King Elementary as a General Education TA, supporting teachers in the classroom as well as providing reading support.  Prior to coming to King,  I had several years experience working as a Title I Math and Title I Reading Tutor in grades K-8 in Ann Arbor Public Schools as well as both charter and private schools.  My experience in education also included teaching secondary math for four years in the Chicago area.

My husband and I moved to Ann Arbor from Chicago in 1992.  We have six children and five of the six children are currently teaching or attending college and studying education in preparation for becoming teachers.

My journey in the field of education began in childhood as a daughter of a math teacher. I loved visiting my father’s classroom and observing his students as he engaged their curiosity. It was in those years I realized I enjoyed the simplicity, precision and logic in numbers, shapes and patterns..

I attended Miami University in Ohio where I earned a B.S in Business Administration (Marketing) and then a couple years later earned my Secondary Math Teaching Certificate from Xavier University.

I enjoy gardening, walking, watercolor painting, teaching three year olds in my local church and spending time with family and friends.

I look forward to working with you and having a great year ahead.
