A Little About Coach Jackson...

My first name is Tierra, which means ‘earth’ in Spanish. Something interesting about me is that I was born almost 8 weeks premature on Valentine’s Day. Although only 2 lbs 7oz, I was healthy and vibrant. I grew up on Lake Michigan and I am the eldest of three girls. I moved to Ann Arbor in 1999. I have three beautiful daughters Trinity 20, Qaurtney 16, and Jasmine 14. Trinity attends Western Michigan University and is a Huron graduate, Qaurtney attends Huron High School, and Jasmine attends Clague Middle School.  I too am a Huron Parent!

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and my graduate studies at the University of Phoenix.   I have over 20 years of experience in education, 16 of which have been with Ann Arbor Public Schools.

My experiences in coaching stretch across multiple mediums including Cheer, Poms, Dance, Academic Games, Science Olympiad, and Drill.

I am an enthusiastic coach and educator.  I enjoy motivating, teaching, and learning from my team members.   I look forward to creating engaging and effective relationships with your athlete and your family.
