    AAPS Food Distribution 

    The Ann Arbor Public Schools continue to distribute food on Mondays and Thursdays. These distributions now include dinner bowls. Full details on the food distribution program, including distribution times and locations, are available here.

    AAPS COVID Metrics Dashboard Update

    AAPS weekly update of the COVID-19 Metrics Dashboard was published today and can be viewed here.

    COVID-19 Testing at Pioneer

    The Washtenaw County Health Department is holding a no-cost COVID-19 testing event at Pioneer High School on Saturday, February 6th from 12 to 4 PM. Pre-registration is preferred.

    NAAPID

    National African American Parent Involvement Day is Monday, February 8th. Check with your child’s school for specific events. NAAPID, celebrated across the country, was created by former AAPS Principal Joe Dulin after he attended the Million Man March in 1995 as a way for parents to have conversations and get in touch with teachers.

    NAAPID Poster Contest

    The 26th Annual NAAPID Poster Contest is open with entries accepted through Friday, Feb 19th at 4 PM. The theme this year is Resilience is Timeless. Winners will be introduced at NAAPID at Night on March 8th. More information here.

    AAPS Excellence in Virtual Instruction Award

    Nominations are now open for the AAPS Excellence in Virtual Instruction Award. Sponsored by Google, the award recognizes exceptional AAPS educators during this challenging year. To learn more about the award and nominate an educator by February 16th at 5 PM, click here.

    AAPS Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

    AAPS offers multiple scholarships to graduating seniors looking to further their education at a credentialed college, university or trade school. To view a listing of scholarships and apply online, visit a2schools.org/scholarships. Applications are due by March 15th at 10 PM.
