Evaristo Rodriguez is a native of Belleville, Michigan, and an alumnus of Belleville High School and the University of Michigan. While at U of M, he performed with the Michigan Marching Band, the U of M Concert and Symphony Bands, as well as the University Philharmonia and Symphony Orchestras.
After completing a Bachelors in Music Education and Euphonium Performance, as well as a Masters in Euphonium Performance, Mr. Rodriguez began a teaching career that has taken him through Virginia, Georgia, Texas, and finally back to his home state. In addition to receiving top ratings in all of the above states, his students have performed at The Georgia Music Educators Convention, The Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, Bands of America Grand National Marching Band Finals, and the National Concert Band Festival. He’s also proud to have had private students accepted to schools of music at The University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, The University of Georgia, Indiana University, and West Virginia University.
Mr. Rodriguez joined AAPS in 2017 as the Co-Director at Scarlett Middle School, as well as the fifth-grade band instructor for Carpenter Elementary and Mitchell Elementary. He very much appreciates the support of all his AAPS colleagues.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Rodriguez can usually be found spending time with his wife Colleen, and their two sons. He also enjoys water/snow skiing, hiking, and traveling.
