Jesse Duecher

 

This will be Jesse's second year teaching PE (but you can call it gym) at Open! Although he has only been working at Open for a short time he and Open go way back. He attended school here for Kindergarten-6th grade and did most of his homework during high school in the Open media center where his mom, Christine, is the librarian. Jesse has a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and will graduate with a Master's in Curriculum Instruction with K-12 PE and Early Elementary Education endorsements from Concordia University in June of 2023.

 

When Jesse is not teaching, or spending time figuring out new games to play in the gym, he can be found coaching water polo at Pioneer High School, mountain biking, taking his 14 year old pitbull, Kenneth, on adventures, or seeking out the best flavors of ice cream the world has to offer.
