Anything else you want me to include: After losing in triple overtime in the State Semifinals last year to Grosse Pointe South, we have a bit of a chip on our shoulder and already, a few weeks into the season, you can tell the girls are hungry and focused.
Last year we had Ava Heung, Michigan Miss Hockey 2023, who now plays for the University of Michigan. MLive article:

    Men's Soccer
Winning the SEC RED conference. Playing Pioneer on 10-12-23 @ Pioneer in 1st round of district play! Having a fantastic year! Go Rats!
    The boy's X/C:
The team finished 2nd at a Monroe Jefferson Invite. "Half of our runners ran to either their lifetime best or their best time of this current season." Coaches are happy with their efforts and time!
    The girl's X/C
Running well and working towards qualifying for states.
    Girls golf :
Currently 7-2 in conference play, with four conference matches left. We have a good shot at winning the conference this season. We have taken two 3rd-place finishes at invites and 2-0 in non-conference matches.

    Huron Volleyball:
Volleyball has played tough against SEC competitors. They are working hard to build their offense and have been giving teams a big fight defensively. The team is doing well overall. Huron will host the SEC "RED" volleyball jamboree on 10-21-23. Come out and check them out.

    The Boys Varsity Tennis:
The team is currently 7-3-1 and tied for second place in the SEC Red Division.
-Winning side in the East vs. West Showdown. In these events, we have had Hassan Hejazi and Warren Gunnar win first place at two events. Sam Regenbogen and Nihar Gundala each captured one second-place finish in their flights. Currently, those three will be the number 1 seed at regionals. Hejazi/Gunnar at 1 double, Gundala at 2 singles. And Regenbogen at 4 singles. Sean Miao and Luke Mathew have an outside chance at being the number 1 seed at the 4-double position.
-The team is working exceptionally well together.
-Alex Hiner leads the JV team. He has 12 boys working hard and having fun. They do not track wins and losses for the JV, but they have played well and continue to improve.
    Equestrian Team
The team showed up and placed 6th in their divisions at regionals. They didn't qualify for States but dominated in jumping and proudly represented the Ann Arbor schools. The athletes were poised, strong, and resilient! They laughed, danced, and loved being together. We also brought almost 100% of the diversity to the competition.
Huron student- Sydney placed 1st in jumping in division B and 5th with her partner (Siofra Poppens Pioneer class of 2026in the two-person relay. The relay had about 16-18 teams!
Varsity is 4-3 overall, and they still have a shot for the playoffs. Huron host Pioneer on 10-12-23 @ 7 PM
JV and Fr sharing players due to very talented players - JV 5-2 currently, having a great season, one of the best in years.
    Swim and Dive:
Many swimmers are making state cuts and doing very well. "Come out to a meet."
Coach states: We are proud of our cheer girls- Sophomore Lexi Jones and Senior Qaurtney Jackson -who were selected for Hurons 2023 Homecoming Court.
    Field Hockey
River Rats played well against the #1 team in the region, Skyline. Skyline is packed with seniors and 4 D1 recruits; "Skyline did their best to mercy us, but we held on." They missed a few scoring opportunities, but the Rat's defense managed to hold their shots and corners to a minimum.
The team traveled to Oak Park, Illinois, for the "Huskie Invitational" and played many state/national ranked teams.
    Men's Polo
Men playing well and holding their own in the pool. Have to check them out!
