I grew up in Michigan and have also lived in Florida, a place I love and still visit often. I graduated with a BA in Art from Siena Heights University in 2008, and am now getting my masters in Visual Art Education at Eastern Michigan University. 

 

I started my teaching career in Florida in 2008, and in 2015, I began teaching for Ann Arbor Public Schools. I have taught at Scarlett, Pioneer and, most recently, Huron. In 2021, I took a position with A2 Virtual+ when I fell in love with virtual education after our year of covid virtual classes. 

 

Art mediums I enjoy most are drawing, painting, polymer clay jewelry making, digital photography and digital drawing and painting on Procreate. When I am not making art, hanging out with my 2 kids and 2 cats, or doing grad school homework, I enjoy hiking, yoga, walking, and exploring new cities.
