Mr. Michael Damron
Mr. Damron obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 from Eastern Michigan University, where he majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and General Science. As an undergraduate student, he conducted significant research regarding the variety of blue-green algae distributed in the waters of southeast Michigan. While teaching at Huron High School he continued his own education at Michigan State University, graduating in 2011 with a Masters of Science in Biology. His primary science research interest is the application of RNAi and CRISPR technology in medical applications. Prior to his employment with Ann Arbor Public Schools, Mr. Damron served as a laboratory technician with the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology department of the University of Michigan. A frequent camper and backpacker, Mr. Damron greatly enjoys travelling both up north and out west for outdoor adventure. In his spare time, Mr. Damron enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, reading the occasional Marvel comic, and watching sporting events, particularly the Tigers, Spartans, and Wolverines.
