Ms. Janet Lemanski
Special Education Department Chair
Mrs. Janet Lemanski has been a special educator for 25 years. She began her teaching career at a day treatment center in Wayne County, and then taught in a self-contained program for emotionally impaired children in Oakland and Livingston counties. Ms. Lemanski began teaching in Ann Arbor in 2006, and worked at Pioneer, Pattengill, and Tappan, back at Pioneer before finally ending up at Huron. Mrs. Lemanski received her Associates Degree from Schoolcraft College, and her Bachelors and Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University, with certification in the areas of teaching Emotionally Impaired and Learning Disabled.
Mrs. Lemanski’s spends her free time stitching and doing needlework, reading, and supporting the Detroit Tigers. She also enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and sons.
