  • Would you like to coach a Youth Sports Team?
Rec & Ed is always looking for dedicated volunteers to be coaches for our varied youth sports leagues. We are a non-competitive recreation program so whether you have played the sport or not, your participation is welcome. Don't be worried about the rules or techniques of coaching, we will provide information and direction for the sport of your choice. Most of our leagues run on weekends throughout the school year (Summer leagues run on weekday evenings), with one practice a week.

  • Statement of Inclusion for Rec & Ed Youth Sports
Rec & Ed is committed to providing safe and inclusive recreational sports opportunities to all young people, regardless of race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, national origin, ability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Youth may register using a variety of gender terms, including “non-binary,” and are welcome to select whichever sports and leagues they prefer.

We welcome young people who identify as non-binary or gender fluid to play on Rec & Ed teams! Parents, feel free to contact Seth Dodson (dodsons@a2schools.org) to ensure we have correct pronouns for your child and to discuss any other ways we can provide children a welcoming environment.

For Fall 2024, Rec & Ed is again running the Sunday All Gender League. This league is for children seeking a soccer team experience with no specific gender affiliation. See the Soccer page for more details.
