Also, come to the "Free Agent" Day at noon on Sunday, April 30 at Veteran's Memorial Park, Field #5. (Rain date is 5/7/23). All registrations will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Late registrants cannot be guaranteed league placement.ONLINE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE! (sponsor/initial registration)

FEES: Sponsor and Team Sponsor Fee Team Fee (due by 5/9/23) Non-Resident Player Fee* $650 $1607 American & National Leagues (16 games) $9 BOTH NATIONAL AND AMERICAN LEAGUES PLAY 16 GAMES.
The Sponsor Fee is the initial fee due from all teams at registration to reserve their spot in the league. All teams pay both the sponsor fee AND the team fees, regardless of whether or not a team has a sponsor.*Non-resident fee: Applies to all players who reside outside the boundaries of the Ann Arbor Public School District. The non-resident fee is used to recover a portion of the program costs from participants who do not reside within the AAPS District.
Team rosters, team and non-resident fees are due by May 9, 2023. Anything submitted after this date will be assessed a late fee of $2.00 per player.
Rec & Ed accepts credit and debit cards. Money orders, certified and corporate checks are also accepted. A personal check will only be accepted from the team’s manager whose name appears on the registration. Checks should be made out to Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS). Special arrangements need to be made to pay by check, since the office is not open to the public.
RETURNED CHECK POLICY
If any check is returned NSF, the team in question will forfeit all of its games from the point of notification from Rec & Ed, until a cash payment is made for the amount of the check plus an additional $50 league re-entry fee.REFUND POLICY - CLICK HERE.
SCHEDULE SEASON LENGTH & NIGHTS OF PLAY
The season is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of MAY 15, 2023 and runs approximately 10-12 weeks, with a 16 game schedule. If you cannot field a team prior to Memorial Day, please notify the Adult Sports Supervisor by April 25, 2023.
Teams usually play twice a week, and games can be scheduled on any day of the week. Game times on weekdays are 6:30 pm or 9 pm. Weekend games are anytime from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Teams that played the previous season and compiled a winning percentage of .800 and better will be moved to a higher division. Teams with a win percentage of .200 and below are moved to a lower division. Team managers wishing to appeal their league classification may do so by emailing the Adult Team Sport Supervisor by 5:00pm the FRIDAY before registration opens.
LEAGUE RULES
The Rec & Ed Adult Baseball Program will be governed by the Official Baseball Rules. However, Rec & Ed league rules will supersede the governing rules.PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Players must be of amateur status, and must have been so for the previous three years. There are no restrictions on a player’s participation on any team outside the Rec & Ed program or in other Rec & Ed sports.UNIFORMS
Matching uniform shirts with visible and distinct numbers are highly recommended.ROSTER LIMIT:
A maximum of 21 players will be allowed per roster.GAME BALL:
The official game ball will be the RAWLINGS R100. Teams must provide two new game balls to the plate umpire before every game.OFFICIAL RESULT SHEETS
Result sheets should be emailed right after the game to ateamsports@aaps.k12.mi.us. The home team keeps the official score (the team listed first on the league schedule is designated as the home team). The winning team is required to submit the game result sheet to Rec & Ed by email immediately after the game. However, in the event your game ends in a tie, the HOME TEAM is responsible for submitting the result sheet. If the results are not submitted, the game in question will be recorded as a double forfeit.AWARDS
An award will be presented to the division and league champion. In divisions or leagues with 9 or more teams, awards will also be presented to the runner-up team.
