Non-Resident Fee Men's DH Leagues* $109 $209 $945 $5 per player Corec DH Leagues $109 $209 $945 $5 per player Sponsor fees are initial fees paid by all teams at registration to reserve their spot in the league. All teams pay the sponsor fee and the team fee, regardless of whether the team has a sponsor.The non-resident fee applies to all players who reside outside of the boundaries of the AAPS district.Sponsor fees are due at the time of team registration and may be paid online. All team fees must be paid by credit or debit card.All team rosters, player info, and fees are due by Thursday, August 8, 2024. Anything submitted after this date is assessed a late fee of $2.00 per player.Rec & Ed will accept credit and debit cards from the team sponsor, team manager or a designated team member for sponsor fees, team fees or non resident fees.ScheduleThe tentative start date for the Fall League is the week of August 19, 2024. All teams play 10 games (mostly doubleheaders) and the season lasts approximately 5-7 weeks. Fall games are played at Veteran's Memorial Park and Southeast Area Park. ALL SOFTBALL LEAGUES USE THE “1 & 1” PITCH COUNT FORMAT WITH A 70 MINUTE TIME LIMIT.Fall League Summer Equivalent Night(s) of Play Men's Minor All Men's Minor teams and teams over .750 in recreation divisionWednesdays Men's Recreation All Men's Recreation teams Wednesdays Co-Rec All Co-rec Community, City teams, and Recreation teams (5 women & 5 men) Thursday Most weeks, teams play doubleheaders (teams usually play two games per night, usually against the same opponent, but not always). Some weeks, teams may only have one game. Tentative game times start as early as 6:00PM and as late as 9:45 PM. All games have a 1 hour 10 minute time limit.Practice Times and PermitsRec & Ed does not offer practice permits for fall softball teams. However, any manager wishing to schedule practices for a team may contact Conner Potter at facilityuse@a2schools.org. Rates for practices are $9.00/hour.Equipment Pick-up DatesEach team will be given game balls, result sheets, and a score book. Every team must send a representative to Equipment Pick-up on any of the dates and times listed below. We ask your cooperation in obtaining your team's equipment on a timely basis. However, Rec & Ed has developed local league rules, which supersede ASA rules. Every team will receive a set of Rec & Ed league rules. Managers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with both sets of rules. All rules, rosters, results sheets, and other league forms can be found HERE.Roster InformationA player can play on two different teams in two different programs. For example, a player can play on a Men's team and a Co-Rec team. The home team must keep the official score. The team listed first on the league schedule is designated as the home team. The winning team is required to submit the game result sheet to the league statistician via email immediately after the game. However, in the event your game ends in a tie, the HOME TEAM is responsible for submitting the result sheet. Managers take a picture of your result sheet and email it to ateamsports@aaps.k12.mi.us.AwardsSponsor and individual awards will be presented to the division or league champion. In divisions or leagues with 9 or more teams, individual awards will also be presented to the runner-up.
