Hello!

This is my sixth year at A2 STEAM and also my sixth year on the fifth grade team! I graduated from The University of Michigan with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and another Master’s Degree in Education with concentrations in literacy education and sports administration from Michigan State University. In case you were wondering – Go Blue!

Prior to moving to Ann Arbor I was fortunate to travel the world playing professional basketball. I spent the most time in the picturesque country of Luxembourg where I also started my teaching career! I love the natural curiosity that children bring to learning. I am passionate about teaching children to inquire about the world that surrounds them and to seek answers to their questions.

Outside of the classroom I love spending time with my family, my dog Cosmo and my adorable nephews and niece. I am originally from the beautiful city of Ludington, which is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline. I enjoy all the natural world has to offer. Summers full of sand dunes, sunshine, waves and stars always leaves me feeling recharged. There is also a good chance you can find me close to a gym or basketball court! I love sports and believe in all the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

I am constantly seeking knowledge and ways I can grow in all areas of my life. I am looking forward to an amazing year at A2STEAM and growing alongside the 5th graders!
