Jessica Bell was born and raised in Alpena, Michigan. She studied elementary education, with an emphasis on math and science, at Eastern Michigan University. Ms. Bell also earned her Master’s degree in reading, from EMU. She began teaching in 2000, and immediately discovered her love of teaching 6th grade. Ms. Bell has a passion for integrating math through the use of projects and inquiry based learning. She has been teaching at STEAM since 2014.

Outside of school, Ms. Bell is a mom to her wonderful son Gabe, who also attends STEAM. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors and up north on the lake. Other interests include card making, golf, softball and boating/kayaking. She is very excited to begin this journey of discovery and learning together with you this school year!
