Degrees and Certifications:
This is my 24th year of teaching in the Ann Arbor Public Schools and my 12th year here at King Elementary. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful community! I am a product of the Ann Arbor Public Schools where I was inspired by my first grade teacher at Lawton to become just like her! I left Ann Arbor briefly to attend Western Michigan University and later earned my master’s degree from Marygrove. I am a life-long learner and always take advantage of opportunities to further develop myself as an educator.
I have a wonderful, supportive husband and two children, Garrison, 19 years old, and Madelynn, 17 years old. Garrison is a freshman at Western Michigan University and is an honor's student and is in the business school. Madelynn is a senior at Community High School and is on a travel volleyball team, is an editor for the Communicator, and is an artist.
I am a BIG fan of U of M and Detroit sports and you can find me in the Big House every home game in the fall! I also enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, taking walks with my 11-year old dog Chip, and traveling.
