Degrees and Certifications:
This is my 23rd year of teaching in the Ann Arbor Public Schools and my 11th year here at King Elementary. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful community! I am a product of the Ann Arbor Public Schools where I was inspired by my first grade teacher at Lawton to become just like her! I left Ann Arbor briefly to attend Western Michigan University and later earned my master’s degree from Marygrove. I am a life-long learner and always take advantage of opportunities to further develop myself as an educator.
I have a wonderful, supportive husband and two children, Garrison, 18 years old, and Madelynn, 16 years old. Garrison is a senior at Ann Arbor Skyline High School and is on the ultimate frisbee and bowling teams and is in the marching band. Madelynn is a junior at Community High School and is on a travel volleyball team, is an editor for the Communicator, and is an artist.
I am a BIG fan of U of M and Detroit sports and you can find me in the Big House every home game in the fall! I also enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, taking walks with my 10-year old dog Chip, and traveling. This past summer, we spent 2 1/2 weeks traveling around the upper peninsula. It is so beautiful up there!
