Each professional staff member employed by the District who has reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or neglect shall be responsible for reporting immediately every case, whether ascertained or suspected, of abuse or neglect resulting in physical or mental injury to a student by other than accidental means. The work and learning environment should be professional and free from intimidation, hostility or other offenses that might interfere with work performance. Harassment of any sort – verbal, sexual, physical – will not be tolerated. HRS will continue to provide annual training to all employees on various harassment policies including workplace, sexual and fair treatment.
