Introduction to Engineering & Design (IED)

  • This course uses problem-solving skills to explore creative designs and alternative solutions for problems facing our world today by using a design system approach.  Students will design, analyze, and communicate possible solutions to a variety of environmental and technological problems. Three-dimensional models will be created using solid modeling computer design software.  Possible tools include laser engraving and rapid prototyping.


    Current Intro to Engineering & Design students can use their username and password to visit MyPLTW for the IED curriculum.

    Engineer's Notebook: A quad-ruled composition notebook. Mr. Pachera sells these for $3.00.
    Pens (blue or black) as well as standard pencils.
