Rec & Ed offers a fun opportunity for adults in the Ann Arbor area to meet other sports-minded individuals through our "Free Agent" teams. These teams are perfect for people who are new to the Ann Arbor area or for those who are looking for a way to be active. Free agent softball and kickball teams are a great way to expand your circle of friends. To register for a free agent team, click the link below for the night and the league that suits you best.

Rec & Ed offers the following Summer 2024 Free Agent teams:

• Co-Rec Softball Free Agent teams - 5 men and 5 women play at a time. $75 per person, Wednesday or Thursday night Recreation League (pick the night that works best for you).
• Co-Rec Kickball Free Agent teams - 5 men and 5 women play at a time. $50 per person, Wednesday nights.
• Men's Softball Free Agent teams for men on Tuesday night Men's Recreation. $75 per person.
• Sand Volleyball Corec C Quad Free Agent team (2 guys & 2 gals) on Wednesday nights. Contact draves@a2schools.org for sand volleyball info.

The Summer Softball / Kickball season starts the week of May 6, 2024. Teams play 10 games and the league takes 10-12 weeks. A minimum of 7 men and 7 women are needed for a Co-Rec team to be formed . A  minimum of 12-14 guys are needed for a Men's team to be formed.

Sand Volleyball starts in late May. Teams play 7 matches. A minimum of 3 guys and 3 gals are needed for a quad sand volleyball team to be formed.

The fee to join a Free Agent Softball team is $75 and the fee to join a Free Agent Kickball team is $50. The fees cover 10 games, umpire fees and a team practice permit. The players may pick their team name but team T shirts are not provided.

The fee to join a Free Agent Sand Volleyball team is $40. No refs in sand volleyball.
