My name is Natalie L. Iglewicz.  My teaching career has spanned 3 decades, 2 states, and 2 countries.   I started my career in Arizona teaching adjudicated youth and later worked for Mesa Public Schools in a program for severely emotional impaired 9 and 10 year olds.  After that, I moved back to the Detroit area and taught for Birmingham public schools.  Over a 12 year period I taught in a self contained classroom for the emotionally impaired, an elementary Resource Room, and a 5th grade classroom.  In 1997 I married and moved to Buenes Aires, Argentina with my husband.  There I taught English to 5th - 8th grade students as well as adults.
This is my 17th year teaching for Ann Arbor Public Schools and my 16th year at Bach Elementary School. At Bach I was the Teacher Consultant for 6 years and this my 10 th year in the classroom, teaching 3rd and 4th grades.
My husband, Reed, is an attorney.  My son, Eddie, is 18 years old and a senior. He attends Eton Academy in Birmingham, MI.  My daughter Rosa is a 7th grader at Tappan Middle School in Ann Arbor.  I also have two beloved dogs, Tank and Chance.
I am an avid reader  and especially like nonfiction and historical fiction.  I also enjoy hiking, biking, and canoeing.  My family has spent time camping and hiking in many of our country's national parks.  In this picture taken two years ago, we are at Bryce Canyon.
