  • Secondary A2Virtual+ Parent Information Night regarding 2nd Semester

    An overview presentation of the differences between Synchronous and Asynchronous learning for students in grades 6-12 is being held on December 8th between 6 and 7 pm.  Characteristics of student behaviors and the pros and cons of each modality will be covered.  Among the other topics covered will be the steps required to switch to either A2Connect or A2Virtual+ from your child's current remote learning platform for the second semester.  The link to the Zoom presentation is here.

    A2 Virtual+ is an option for all students (Kindergarten-Grade 12). 
    There will be two programs Secondary (grades 6-12) and elementary (Kindergarten-Grade 5)
     
     
     
    The primary objective for the Ann Arbor Virtual+ Academy is to provide students access to online and extended learning options that will help them to develop a personalized learning path. 

    Thank you for exploring the benefits of online learning.  Take a few moments to look through our webpage and discover all the options we provide students in grades 5 through 12.  Our main emphasis is to deliver the best online content supported by the best teachers in Ann Arbor for the purpose of providing options for students to learn independently within the confines of a given term. 

    Some of the benefits of taking online courses through A2 Virtual+:
    • Web-based and therefore open to the student 24/7  
    • Flexible so students can set their own schedule each week and learn at a time that is optimum for them
    • Over 250 different course offerings allowing students to schedule the class that they want.  A2 Virtual+ offers classes at the foundational level and courses at the Advanced Placement level, as well as everything in between
    • Our program has a success rate of 93% which is higher than the state average
    • Ann Arbor Public School online teachers provide both scheduled and unscheduled interaction with each student for the purpose of teaching, guiding, evaluating, and providing assistance throughout the term
    • We require all students to complete an orientation and have a minimum of two assessments proctored for each class 
    • Students will build positive relationships with A2 Virtual+ instructors through the required weekly communication sessions
